Invited Keynote Addresses and Lectures Delivered in Hong Kong, November 2008 In November 2008, Drs. O’Toole, Inglesby, and Toner were invited to present at the Commissioned Training of Major Infectious Disease Emergencies and Bioterrorism Preparedness at Princess Margaret’s Hospital in Hong Kong.
The purpose of the meeting was to train approximately 200 frontline healthcare workers from hospitals throughout Hong Kong in the recognition, diagnosis, treatment, and management of bioterrorism and major infectious disease emergency preparedness. The Center’s goals in participating in and sponsoring the conference were to build stronger ties with clinical colleagues in Asia and to begin to build a global community of clinicians who are interested in biosecurity.
