Professional Profile

Mr. Selck is a Contributing Scholar at the Center for Biosecurity of UPMC as well as a Sommer Scholar and doctoral student in applied economics at Johns Hopkins University. His professional interests include the introduction of agent behavior in infectious disease models and the economic burden of neglected tropical diseases.

He has published in such journals as Health Policy and Planning, Annals of Surgery, and American Journal of Transplantation. Mr. Selck is a member of the American Economic Association, the Eastern Economic Association, and the American Society for Health Economists.

He holds a bachelors degree and a masters degree in economics from Hunter College - City University of New York.
