| Home > Events > Bulls, Bears, and Birds Conference, 2005 > Speakers > Kenny Seow Kenny Seow, Director, Regional Head of Business Continuity Management, Asia Pacific, Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore Transcript | Slide thumbnails | Slide show | Video Kenny Seow is presently the Regional Head of Business Continuity Management (BCM) in Deutsche Bank AG, responsible for the development and implementation of the bank's business continuity management programme across 16 countries in Asia Pacific.
During the SARS outbreak in 2003, Mr. Seow was directly involved in Deutsche Bank's regional crisis management team in implementing contingency measures and business continuity plans across the bank's branches Asia. Once again, he is now leading the bank's efforts in the region on contingency planning for pandemics. In addition to his role in Deutsche Bank, Mr. Seow is also the founding Chairman of the BCM Standing Committee formed under The Association of Banks in Singapore. Since its inception in 2002, the committee has initiated a number of industry-wide projects to improve the disaster preparedness of the banking sector. These include the implementation of an industry-wide crisis coordination process, study on interdependencies of critical services in the banking sector, promotion of public-private partnership, and conduct of an industry-wide crisis management table top exercise. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Seow held senior positions in Sema Group Asia Pacific and Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). He has 15 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis management, and is professionally qualified as a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) from the Disaster Recovery Institute International. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Psychology, and Master's degree in Business Administration. |
