Dr. Ann Norwood discussed hospital versus home care during a flu pandemic: "Generally when a flu wave comes in to a community, it hits that community for 6-8 weeks. And there will be a spike in [healthcare workers] who are sick themselves, caring for people who are sick, or just, quite frankly, don't want to expose themselves to any risk and stay home."
