Clinicians’ Biosecurity Network (CBN): This website provides authoritative and timely information to clinicians who are interested in biodefense preparedness and response. The CBN has been designed to provide a robust and secure tool for collecting and disseminating information pertinent to biosecurity in the face of ongoing or unusual circumstances such as suspected or confirmed bioterrorism attacks, emergent disease outbreaks, or threats to the nation's medical and/or public health systems. All material posted on the CBN is based on information that has been gathered and analyzed by the staff of the Center for Biosecurity. The CBN offers two publications, both available by subscription. CBN Report: Brief weekly summaries describing recent developments in science, public health, medicine, governance, national/homeland security, and domestic/foreign policy that have significance for clinicians involved in biodefense. CBN Special Bulletin: Time-stamped updates published during times of unusual and/or ongoing circumstances, such as suspected or confirmed bioterrorism attacks, emergent disease outbreaks, or other threats to the nation's medical and/or public health systems.
Subscription to these publications requires online registration and acceptance of the CBN Terms of Use.
Biosecurity and Bioterrorism: Biodefense Strategy, Practice, and Science is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal. Its purpose is to serve as an international forum for debate and exploration of the key strategic, scientific, and operational issues posed by biological weapons and bioterrorism. The Journal provides multidisciplinary analyses and perspectives essential to the creation of strategies and programs that can diminish the threat of bioweapons. The intended audiences for this journal are those professional communities that have strategic, scientific, or operational responsibilities critical to improving biosecurity, including medicine, public health, law, national security, bioscientific research, agriculture, food safety, and drug and vaccine development. The Editors encourage submissions to the Journal from professionals in these fields and others who have the responsibility or opportunity to improve biosecurity.
